The role of the application data administrator is to plan the database and they give supports to the subtype of applications, if we wanted to be an application DBA then we must be skillful in writing and debugging the compound SQL queries, every organization does not have this requirement. The database analyst perform the same role as the database architect performs occasionally, database analyst can be another person instead of database administrator as they work with the database technologies. The implementation and designing of the new databases can be handled by database architect so they are not fully involved in the maintenance and tuning of accepted databases and application, there perform some task they work on the logical data model containing object model and they can convert the logical data model into the physical database design, also they have to analyze the requirement of accessing the data by making sure to get the best design of the database and systematic SQL access.
The role of the system DBA is to handle more technical issues and fewer business issues, they perform typical tasks like installing new versions, setting the parameters of the system, the system DBA is not fully involved in the actual database and implementation of the application but they work for change management it the application is not working properly then they have to perform tuning of the database with the application and to alter the parameter of the operating system for tuning with it. There are different types of workplaces for data administrators that are given below, so in computer system design and related services in the organization, so many of the data administrators are working into it, like internet service providers and data-processing firms and other DBA are working in the organization with huge databases, also some database administrators are working in insurance companies to handle the database of the account holders, in retail companies, there is also need of database administrator to keep track on the information about buyers and credit card holders, in the banking sector, there is also need of DBAs to handle huge amount of data as this sector is really large so to maintaining it is a very complex task so DBAs make it easier, and also in hospitals to keep track of the patient data and account-related information.
